GREAT NEW, EASY TO STORE, SIDE-LOADING MOTORCYCLE TRAILER; NOW IN SINGLE  OR PIAGGIO MP3 FORMAT

At just £950 inc vat for the single bike trailer and £1345 for the Piaggio three-wheeler unit, this premium quality, super new trailer keeps the trailer length as short as possible. This not only takes up an amazingly small amount of space on the road and on camp sites, but can save an absolute fortune in ferry fares for biking motorhomers who regularly cross the channel. The single unit's on the road footprint is just 58 inches long and 83 inches to 92½ inches wide, depending on the length of the bike. The deck is 20 inches from the ground. The re-designed trailer will happily carry a bike weighing up to a very generous 240kg.

When not in use the side-loading bike trailer can free-stand on its end in most domestic garages (see fourth pic, right column) saving loads of space and the twin trailer can be leaned against something suitable.

Here's our great new "Wheels on wheels" development, which allows you to plug in an extra set of wheels so you can trundle the side loader into a shed or along a pathway, solving those frustrating storage problems which can stand in the way of taking your bike along on mega-journeys. The castor units are just £110 per pair.

The trailer has short struts welded onto its frame behind the

wheels so that when the trailer is on its end nothing is put at risk. 

THE TRAILER NOW COMES COMPLETE WITH LONGER, FOLDING ALUMINIUM LOADING RAMP AND WITH A LOCKING BRADLEY DOUBLELOCK HITCH.

 

Don't worry if the Honda scooter on the Transverse Trailer , pictured near the top of the first column, looks a little off-centre compared to the traditional bikes shown in the other pictures. The engine is placed much further back in the scooter, giving the machine a different centre of gravity.

The Armitage range of general transporters provides the most convenient way of moving and loading your bike safely. Because of the high grip floor and full width ramp tailgate, you simply ride or walk your bike into place on the trailer with no fear of losing your footing on a skeleton of steelwork. The front wheel holder (see above left) and deck rings or roping cleats make securing bikes simple.Single axle or twin, with or without brakes, Armitage's general transporters are just the ticket. Tapering the trailer, if you carry one bike, allows us to make it with a much shorter drawbar. This usually adds £80 to £100 to the price, but one of our customers clawed this back on his first ferry trip to Holland because  the shorter trailer put his outfit into a lower pricing band on the ferry.
